2 x Slough Built 1957 Citroen 2CV’s for sale.

Sold together as a package. Car/s were purchased for a project whereby an intent to install a BMW R1100 motor was being considered – however after some consideration of vehicle rarity (could be sacrilege to destroy) and alternate project taking over – I need to create space in the shed.

Chassis and mechanicals restored by previous owner – engine has not been started since rebuild etc.Car has been painted in grey (wouldn’t call this a great job but presentable). Seats need to be trimmed Electricals need to be completed

Car 2 – “Project Car” SN 8530006 – not for the faint hearted.

Car 2 is a 1957 2CV – Body is mounted on a dolly to keep it together. Sides of body are pretty good with only surface rust. Floors are non existent. All panels are present – Guards are good, doors average – 3 with glass, Bonnet complete but average.Comes with a 3-4 chassis that should be able to make a complete one.2 sets of Front suspension/steering assemblies, 2 sets of rear suspension arm assemblies, suspension pots for both sides.1 complete motor – several part motors, no complete gearbox but at a glance all parts to assemble one. Steering wheel, gearchange items, seat frames, wheel rims etc etc are all present.

Considerable parts supplied with the sale – between all the parts there realistically should be enough to complete the 1^st car and come close to building he second car if one chose to. More photos of cars and supplied parts upon request

I am very reluctantly selling this absolutely beautiful 2CV.

This is without doubt the most striking looking 2CV in Australia, and up there with the best in overall condition. Even the photos don’t do justice to how incredible the car looks

It is essentially an almost fully restored car, with a few original items retained. The work was done by Bob Shackley and his little team of experts.

New factory chassis, rebuilt engine, new speedometer, full custom seats, 2 pack paint, linings, door cards, bonnet lining, canvas hood, sun shade, reconditioned and painted wheels, white wall tyres, shock absorbers, exhaust, bumpers, steering rack, completely rewired etc.

Although as it is completely roadworthy it will only be a small reduction. This is a simply stunning little car, runs beautifully, still noisy, rattly and a little temperamental, it’s a 2CV.

This is my second 2CV from Bob Shackley in Canberra, so the engine being new will be guaranteed, as will any other major issues should they arise within the next 18 months (as long as you can get it to Canberra)

ID Citroën

This ID is Heidelberg built. I have removed the engine, gear box-diff
assembly and gear shift cable. The floor is rusted out. The Panels are
all good. The right rear guard has a small repairable dint behind the
fuel flap, the boot rust is surface only, looks bad but is not. The
bonnet and roof are aluminium. The glass is all good, door handles,
and hinges all good. Has all its suspension. Loads of parts. $1400 the whole car take it away! I am going overseas on the 24 th of this month (March) for 6 weeks. I would like it gone before I go. But if not I can wait.
